Having instructed all members of our daily trip we are leaving the harbour at 9:30 a.m. Fully relaxed we sail south until we arrive at the picturesque Anthony Quinn’s bay. Here was made the movie “The Guns of Navarone” and that is why the bay is named as the actor, – Anthony Quinn.
Depending on wind force, it will take about two hours sailing to the bay. We will sail all the time very close to the coast, so you can light-heartedly enjoy the beauty of the island.
At about 11:30 we reach the Anthony Quinn’s bay where we usually stay for 2 hours. So you will have enough time for swimming, snorkelling and having lunch.
This scenic bay surrounded by rocks is interesting it`s underwater life too. Therefore it is a must for everybody to snorkel in the bay. We also provide the equipment without any costs.
In the afternoon 14.00 the anchor is raised and the sails are set again. Now we proceed our way to the nearby long shingle beach – Traganou Beach – awarded a blue flag for it`s water quality.
Here you have the chance to enjoy the clearest sea to the full. At the end we return to our home port Mandraki, which we should reach at about 18:00 p.m.
Enjoy a fully relaxed, one-day private sailing trip from Mandraki harbour down the beautiful east coast of Rhodes. Departing at 9:30 a.m., we set sail along the coastline to our first stop: the famous Anthony Quinn’s Bay, the scenic filming location of The Guns of Navarone.
We anchor here for about two hours, giving you plenty of time to swim, snorkel among the vibrant underwater life, and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, we raise the sails and head to Traganou Beach, a stunning long shingle beach awarded a Blue Flag for its crystal-clear water. Relax, take the helm alongside the skipper, or use the provided stand-up paddleboard before we cruise back to Mandraki harbour by 6:00 p.m.
